We have a long-term relationship with this high-growth vendor, working across presales and alliances previously, so are thrilled the sales team is expanding in EMEA!
This is a challenging role that isn’t for the faint-hearted, so serious experience in taking data-centric solutions to enterprise customers is necessary, ideally with prior experience of Hadoop. You will need to show an entrepreneurial attitude that has made you successful year on year, with start-up and established companies alike. A practiced sales methodology will be a definite advantage.
In theory, the task is a simple one: identify and win high value opportunities by solving big data problems. The challenge will be taking a pre-IPO brand to major customers, as whilst this is a well-funded, highly rated solution, it is unlikely that the name will be recognisable enough to open doors for you. Overseeing the sales process from prospecting to close, you’ll be primarily engaging (at C-level) with LOB as opposed to technical teams/analysts.
